Looking Back at 2016 – Year in Review

Oh my, What A Year!

2016 has been a whirlwind for me – crammed from start to finish with awesome weddings, incredible couples, wonderfully emotion-packed days, stunning venues, awards, magazine covers and way too much confetti! It also just happens to represent my first “proper” year of shooting weddings as Tim Stephenson Photography.

When I took the decision around 18 months ago to try and launch myself into the world of wedding photography, I had no idea at all that I’d be sat here in December; attempting to trim down the 10’s of 1000’s of captured special moments to just around 170 to write this post! It’s been nothing short of a momentous year and I’m absolutely delighted to be able to present a small selection of some of my favourite images from the year to give you a glimpse into the excitement, wonder and fun that comes along for the ride every single time I’m trusted to capture someone’s special day.

I do need to start off however with a THANK YOU. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who invited me to shoot their day, those who voted for me in the 2017 Wedding Industry Awards and of course to my wonderfully supportive family without which I wouldn’t be able to do what I do.

Being invited to photograph weddings is a privilege and the importance and significance of that day is always firmly in my mind when shooting. This follows through to my style and approach – going out of my way to avoid interrupting your day or getting in the way, all while capturing all the little moments that together make up your special day.

Along the way I’ve been able to photograph at some stunning venues and meet a whole raft of brilliant suppliers – looking forwards to working with many of you again next year.

With a full diary, 2017 is shaping up to be even bigger than 2016 – and I simply cannot wait to get started!

I’ve run out of words at this point so without further ado, pull up a chair & settle in. There are one or two photos below with many more full storyboards to follow over the Christmas break from some of the featured weddings.

Hope you enjoy looking back through a tiny snippet of my wonderful memories of 2016 as much as I did creating them.
