Lucy and Wayne’s Caistor Hall wedding was one of my first confirmed bookings for 2016 and also my first Caistor Hall wedding. As a venue, Caistor Hall offers a wonderful blend of a classic Georgian country house along with beautifully manicured grounds and flexible space to make it your own; all on the outskirts of Norwich.
With LouLouLoves Vintage Hire, MyFleur & Fleur Artisan taking care of venue decoration & flowers, a bouncy-castle on the lawn, Caistor Hall looking resplendent in the late July summer sun and a wonderfully relaxed feel for the day, it was clear we were in for a treat!
LouLouLoves’ vintage bike, milk churn & signs were perfect to give Caistor Hall’s already grand entrance a perfectly vintage & classical feel with more lovely pieces inside for those extra-special finishing touches. Special Delivery Accessories as always provided a perfectly matched post box for those vitally important wedding cards!
After having a look around I headed upstairs to find Lucy surrounded by a hive of activity, getting ready with her wonderful bridesmaids and this extra special little lady.. who definitely seemed to be enjoying being the centre of attention!
With Lucy looking amazing in her gorgeous Pure Brides dress, Wayne was receiving some finishing touches of his own with some wonderful al-fresco hairdressing skills on display outside in the sun (with plenty of laughs along the way I should probably add!).
Groomwear was by Slaters, with the deep blue suits being the absolutely perfect accompaniment for a wonderfully sunny summer day.
With preparations all finished and everyone ready, the guests were ushered inside to await Lucy’s arrival along with her fantastic Bridesmaids, Pippa, Jessie, Louise & Kim. Inside, Wayne was starting to look a touch on the nervous side while waiting for Lucy but with her standing proudly by his side, those nerves swiftly disappeared for a perfect civil ceremony in Caistor Hall’s light & airy Palm Court.
Formalities done, let the party commence! World, meet the new Mr & Mrs Saxton!
While Lucy and Wayne gently settled into being Mr & Mrs, the Best Man was busy topping up his Dad Points score on the bouncy castle… Top marks for this perhaps brave performance! Bouncy Castles… Extra dad points… this is good!
Remember that lovely little basket of gorgeous flower petal confetti earlier…? Well, it’d be rude not to…. Perfection out on the lawn!
Can we quickly talk about little people being at weddings? I have a distant memory of once being told that as a photographer, one should never under any circumstances work with animals or children… I guess being a Dad has rather changed my view on this one – please invite those younger guests to your wedding – and watch out for those extra special magical & amazing (little) moments!
With the fun very much underway, we moved over to Caistor Hall’s beautifully decorated (thanks MyFleur) marquee for the Wedding Breakfast. Excellent Caistor Hall food as always and many more laughs along the way!
How’s this for an awesome smile though?
Bridesmaids and windows – seems to be some sort of incredible attraction and makes for highly amusing photos. None of us have any idea whatsoever what the joke actually was here but full marks to Pippa and Kim for ensuring the tradition continues!
Beautiful venue decorations, LOVE letters lighting up the dance floor.. what more is there to add!
All in all, a beautiful day!
