Karen & Michael married in a crazily awesome day at the stunning Fawley Hill, which in the venue’s own words… is a “Unique country estate near Henley-on-Thames. With our own steam railway and animal sanctuary, Fawley Hill is a venue to remember.”
Venue to remember doesn’t come close!
Hold on tight for a whirlwind tour through Fawley’s fully functioning railway station & museum; Alpacas; eclectic collection of transport/advertising memorabilia; 80’s disco bingo… kick-starting the starters (!);dancing down the aisle, on the tables, in-between the tables and pretty much everywhere else; high-speed railway cuddles; monsoon level weather complete with dancing train drivers… “IronHenge” at sunset AND the fabulous Karen & Michael!

From catching up with Karen and Michael for the morning preps right through to crazy weather & dancing the night away, it’s safe to say the day was packed with non-stop fabulousness!
Mike and I kick-started the day with a quick visit over to The Compleat Angler to find Michael and his groomsmen having a good laugh and getting ready before heading to Henley-on-Thames to meet Karen and the girls. Along the way we also met a fallen tree – complete with random local lads brandishing chainsaws… not quite what we had in mind for the morning!
Fawley Hill is nothing short of epic as wedding venues go. It’s fabulously unusual and crammed to the brim with sheer awesomeness literally everywhere you look.
Plan A on the day had been for an outdoor ceremony, but with the wind and rain kicking into high gear, the amazing Jo from One Curious Dream worked her magic to move everything indoors at the last minute – switching things up with Karen & Michael tying the knot in the incredible main hall!
As for what happened next – well, with dancing down the aisle; steam train rides, 80’s disco bingo around the tables, amazing food from the fabulous Florentina and sooooo much more, you’re just going to have to go check out the photos (AND SLIDESHOW) to see more!
