Let’s go on an Adventure!
Narnia-inspired styled Norfolk wedding photography at the beautiful Hales Hall
As a Norfolk Wedding Photographer specialising in documentary wedding photography, it’s a fairly rare occasion I’m properly excited to be able to share a styled shoot!
Styled wedding shoots are often perceived as strange things from a documentary wedding photographer’s perspective – we’re normally found in the middle of a fabulously diverse and crazy wedding day; shooting what’s going on in front of us, as it happens; telling the story of your beautiful wedding without staging things, interrupting your wedding ceremony, pulling the bridal party away from the celebrations or soaking up time on the precious day by turning it into a studio photoshoot.
Collaborating with other amazing wedding industry suppliers for a styled shoot on the other hand is a completely different environment. We have time to play, experiment and do fabulously creative things – creating beautifully special editorial images to document the creative team’s magic, without needing to make sure you’re back in time for the wedding breakfast!
When wedding videographer (& the other half of the dream team) Mike Savory and I answered the call from Jo and had a first look at the Pinterest board, well, saying no wasn’t going to be an option!
This shoot was epically special.
Curated and led by the amazing Jo from One Curious Dream, a team of the finest Norfolk Wedding suppliers set out to create something rather special over at the beautiful Hales Hall Norfolk wedding venue. We pushed boundaries far beyond a “normal” wedding day – bringing out no-holds-barred imaginative styling to create a fabulously special take on Narnia.
We’re also thrilled to have had the shoot published over on the superb English Wedding Blog – check THIS out! Many thanks to Claire and her team for sharing this along with the perfect introduction:
“I LOVE this. I love it to bits in a playful, gloriously decadent and creative way. It’s wedding styling taken way beyond ordinary; it’s brilliantly fun; it’s all snowy and beautiful and full of joy – and I can imagine the insanely talented bunch of wedding creatives who put this together had the most amazing day ever.”⠀⠀⠀

Back to the fantastic Hales Hall and this awesomeness.. Our crack team of Norfolk Wedding Suppliers included some of the finest in our area – all setting aside our time on a rather wet and windy day sandwiched in-between the delights of COVID lockdowns back in September; complete with social distancing, masks and fake snow… YES!
Kat at Ivy Floral Events took care of the beautiful blooms throughout including the amazing tablescapes; combining candlelight, stunning pearl details and delightfully unusual styling bringing a unique look to each place setting.
The incredible Adie Hair and Makeup was on-hand throughout to work her absolute magic; creating sublimely eclectic looks for our models; mixing eccentric yet bold, striking and ethereal Narnia-isms into one cohesive whole.
Throw beautiful signage, stationary, cake and of course stunning dresses courtesy of Norfolk Bridalwear Boutique Adella Bridal all into the mix and feast your eyes on the outcome!
It was also a great excuse to have a proper stroll around Hales Hall and snap a few commercial photos for them along the way including a few aerial drone photographs to capture the full majestic scale of the Norfolk Wedding venue’s beautiful surroundings.
