Introducing Hybrid Wedding Photography – a new way to capture more of your special day without compromising your photos or booking more suppliers.
Hybrid wedding photography is all about trying to capture the fun, special moments and those serious bits in video, without trying to be perfect or treading on the toes of traditional videographers.
Hybrid films are usually 3-4 minutes in length and delivered set to fully licensed music in the same gallery system as your photos. They replace photo-only slideshows as a better way to add more to your memories, capturing moments and emotion in motion rather than frozen in time. Think of them as bringing your photos to life!

Photographer first; I’m not a videographer
THIS IS IMPORTANT
Hybrid wedding videos are a great way to add another dimension to your memories but it’s important to keep a few key things in mind.
I’ve said this a few times but I’m a photographer first. You’re booking me because you hopefully love my photos and my approach to documenting your day. As such, I nearly always will prioritise getting photos first before going on to also capture some video alongside those photos. It’s important to me that adding hybrid films doesn’t disrupt my photography – as that rather defeats the point!
Because of this approach, I also won’t normally setup multiple cameras on tripods to film from multiple angles and won’t capture continuous video throughout your ceremony or speeches. Hybrid films are delivered as short 3-4 minute films set to music; I do not deliver full ceremony films, or full speeches films.
The next point is audio. Although I might ask someone to wear a small microphone during your ceremony or capture audio during your speeches, I don’t always use that audio in the finished film.
Finally, hybrid films always use all the best bits of content. With that in mind, I am unable to offer any longer documentary-style cinematic edits.
If any of these things are important to you, please book a videographer as hybrid is perhaps not for you.
