Jordan and Mark – Downe Arms Wedding Photography
When Jordan first got in touch to say she was getting married back in March 2015, I was delighted and honoured to be asked to photograph her wedding. Fast-forward to April 2016 and after a lovely scenic drive to Yorkshire on the day before, I was ready and waiting in the Downe Arms to capture the awesomeness that was Jordan and Mark (sorry.. Spud’s) fantastic wedding.
The Downe Arms is a lovely country hotel in Wykeham – full of character and surrounded by a beautiful woodland; perfect for photos despite the front of the building being covered in scaffolding… time to get creative!
Starting off the day with a quick look around the venue, I soon caught up with Jordan and her bridesmaids for the morning’s preparations.
With hair & makeup complete, everyone bar Jordan’s sister & Maid of Honour Grace was swiftly ushered out to await the Big Reveal of The Dress.
Jordan’s mum Andrea arrived just in time to help – and her beautifully emotional reaction on entering the Bridal Suite perfectly describes just how stunning Jordan looked.
With Jordan’s preparations nearing completion I popped outside to catch up with Mark (sorry… Spud!) & his groomsmen – resplendent in matching suits with accents perfectly matching both the decor & Bridesmaids’ dresses. Didn’t take Mark long to settle nicely into the idea of being photographed and it was lovely to see the nerves disappear after a frame or two.
With the ink barely dry and the sun shining, we headed outside for a few group photos with the brand-new Mr & Mrs Dove & their awesome family & friends.
Time to relax!
With the formalities complete, wedding breakfasts devoured, speeches delivered & cake cut, we took a little time out to go for a quick stroll around the grounds & woods. Making the most of the remaining sun despite a tiny bit of drizzle, we found a beautiful setting for photos – both giving Jordan & Spud a few minutes to let the dust settle on being Mr & Mrs Dove and creating some wonderful images to help tell the story of their special day.
Congratulations once again to the new Mr & Mrs Dove. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of your special day – thank you for inviting me along!

Choosing Tim to be our photographer for the wedding was easy.
We’d seen some of his photos already and loved the way he captured the small moments in what can sometimes be an overwhelming day. He was eager to take on board any ideas we had, while also giving us some of his own. His hard working professional attitude meant we didn’t have to worry about a thing and could just enjoy our day.
When it came to viewing our photos we were so happy with them, he had done everything we wanted and more, he’d found things we didn’t even remember and all the bits we did, meaning we got a fantastic view of the entire day! The photos were stunning and he was by our side the entire time, yet blended seamlessly through our day, offering advice and support when needed.
