Whitlingham Norfolk Engagement Shoot, Alex & James

Timed to be shooting around sunset, I caught up with the lovely Alex and James one beautiful evening in October 2016 at Whitlingham Country Park, just on the outskirts of Norwich.  Whitlingham is a fantastic location for a relaxed shoot – with beautiful views and only a few minutes away from the city centre. Perfect!

Both Alex and James had professed to not be particular fans of being photographed, so with a 2017 wedding in the diary for the always-georgous Boathouse in Ormesby, they were keen to get a little practice beforehand.

In normal engagement shoot fashion, we went for a stroll around the lake; pausing here and there for a few photos, but generally just having a natter about their plans and enjoying the unexpectedly-awesome sunset!

It was also one of my first few outings with the incredible Nikon 105mm 1.4, and in the space of about 3 shots, firmly cemented  the lenses position as both one of Nikon’s finest portrait lenses and a firm favourite for photographing anything involving people.

With the sun set, photographic-worries allayed & beautiful photos created, all that remains is to look forwards to their wedding!
